It's not by accident that Myrtle Beach is amongst the most popular family vacation locations in the USA. Ask a child what he would like to experience on a holiday, and Myrtle Beach has it all. And, some. Adventure. Excitement. Thrills. And, naturally fun "from morning to nightfall.

Of course, many of the attractions can be found elsewhere. After all , Myrtle Beach isn't the sole beach off the coast "though the Grand Strand does offer 60 miles of stunning white sand, and is perhaps unique throughout the United States. And, yes other destinations have their cafes with kids menus "but how many can claim over one thousand dining locations?

However Myrtle Beach has truly distinctive and unique kids attractions not to be found anywhere else.

Here are just 3 of the many distinctive Myrtle Beach vacation attractions that draw children like spun sugar candy.

An entire world of enchanted fantasy where using their wand they can have interaction with the most imaginative characters. Nymphs. The Ancient Magician. They can even challenge a goblin, or outsmart a dragon. Unexpected encounters with wizards, princesses, trixters, elves and potion makers. Dragons, unicorns warriors, and the malignant shade clan take a child's imagination into an innovative new world where the experience is 3 D. Certainly MagiQuest is an experience that will be long and fondly remembered.

NASCAR Speedpark "Where Children of All Ages Put Pedal-To-The-Metal. Which kid doesn't want to get behind the wheel, and put foot to pedal. NASCAR Speedpark is where they can just do that. Not in replicas of your gooey mini-van, but in replicas of NASCAR race autos that zoom around the tracks, with engines roaring.

There are thrills a-plenty. Kids race side-by-side on the track with its tight hair-pin turns and high-banked walls, in one or two seat NASCAR replicas.

The Slidewayz challenges with its many twists and turns on a brightly polished track. Maintaining wheel control while attempting to stay clear of the way of slipping and sliding fellow racers is the key here.

There are tracks for starter drivers, tracks for families like the long-distance Family 500, and even Indy-style go-karts, where drivers put pedal-to-the-metal on a twisting, turning oval course.

Just be warned though "when you get back home, and put away all that holiday gear, do not be surprised if your kid asks to borrow the auto keys "even if he is only 6 years of age! This syndrome may last a couple of months, probably till the next time you visit Myrtle Beach!

The Myrtle Beach Water Park - Cool Fun and Thrills in the Sunshine Yes, there are water parks elsewhere. And, so that the concept isn't unique and specific. But the rides are, which is why it's included here.

Think of a marvelously sunny day that just screams time to jump into the water. But , not just any water where all you can do is splash around. But water that starts on top of of the planet's tallest tubular slides. How tall? Pleased you asked. What about 10 stories tall. The Turbo Twisters are 3 enclosed dark tubes that speed you down those ten stories. How briskly? Oh, just 50 feet per second. Of course, all of the way down there are screams of excitement, exile ration, and merely a wee bit of fear.

The RipTide Rockets add a twist to water-rides "just when kids think it's water, water everywhere, they're going airborne for the final splashdown. Sort of like the first space modules that made landed in the ocean.

Then there's Snake Mountain, with its 3 serpentine rides. Each ride is designed for a distinctive audience. The Python is a slower family-focused ride. The Moccasin is for people that need the excitement without the dread. And, the children born for speed, who want it all.

Then there's the Aruba Tooba, with its whirls and swirls and no two rides are ever the same. Another ride contains them in an enclosed, dark, misty tunnel. And lots more. Plus, what water park would be acceptable without its own brook, providing a long, relaxed ride where children can discuss significant philosophical issues "like how it's possible to get dad to extend the vacation for another 2 weeks.

Myrtle Beach is a great vacation destination and especially so for the children. There's endless activities for adults too "hint, it is the Beach Golfing Capital of the World. So if you are holidaying with youngsters, and want them to have their day in the sunshine "Myrtle Beach should be top of your destination list.
