Sector G, Parcela 90 21750 - Matalascañas, Huelva Inside the Dune Park is located this equestrian centre where you can rent horses for several hours and enjoy a journey through the paths of the Dune Park, rising dunes until the beach. Take your time to discover amazing views and direct contact with nature. Since 1981 this equestrian centre organizes routes with horse, with a duration of 2 hours, even 4 (on request). Routes varied with monitors on the extensive beach of Matalascañas but also at the dunes Asperillo, an ecosystem unique dune within the Doñana Natural Park. Routes can be made throughout the all year round. Horses commensurate with the level and age of participants. Horses adapted to all kinds of riders (level or age) , no experience is necessary. Departures every day mornings and afternoons subject to confirmation. Jockeys have monitors, and horses with their teams complete and liability insurance. Price: Two hours itinerary 30 per person. |

20,000 Leagues under the sea. Marine World Museum Ctra. Matalascañas Mazagón Km 0´5 21.760 - Matalascañas, Huelva In the middle of the pine grove of the Dune Park, the visitor can find the Museum of the Marine World, a centre of interpretation, communication and formative with a clear didactic sense in the frame of the environmental education. The museum explains the relationship that exist between man and the sea, both from the point of view of the scientist , who study the sea as a ecosystem, and from the point of view of the people who have lived and still live for the sea, their customs, their traditional uses of it Fundamentally the exhibition is dedicated to marine mammals and to everything related to them. We have thirteen real skeletons of species that are representatives of these waters, some of them are very spectacular a fin whale twenty meters long, for example. Apart from this, sixteen life size models have been made of these animals to shown what they would have been like, one of them weighs more than 4.500 kg. They are suspended from the ceiling of the central room which makes them spectacular. Summer schedule (June 12th to September 10th): Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 02:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 09:30 pm. Sundays from 11:00 am to 02:30 pm. Closed on Mondays. Discovering Doñana. Visits in 4x4 vehicles inside Doñana National Park Visitors Centre "El Acebuche" Ctra.El Rocío a Matalascañas,Km.12 21750 - ElRocío, Huelva Located about 3 Kilometres from Matalascañas, on the road A-483, this centre has an exhibition about the park, a café and a shop selling maps and books. From the centre is a sign posted 5km trail through scrubland and pine trees. Next to the centre is the El Acebuche lagoon, with bird hides, where you can see purple gallinules, among other birds. Entrance to the park is strictly controlled. You can take half-day trips with official guides or explore the environs of the visitors' centres on foot. Visits in 4x4 vehicles inside Doñana National Park The visits are made by 4x4 vehicles in the southern area of Doñana and for 4 hours approximately, introducing us into 2 of the three ecosystems of this matchless place. Ecosystems are visited by Cotos and the Marshes, seeing the flora and fauna that is found in each of them. All vehicles have an expert driver-guide on the environment and history of the area. Enjoy a wonderful and fruitful day in an incomparable setting and privileged as DOÑANA. Besides the magnificent landscapes can be seen a large number and diversity of birds, as well as (depending on the day, bearing in mind that the animals are free) different species of mammals (deer, deer, lynx, fox, meloncillos, etc.. Visits to the interior of the park in 4x4 vehicles (Buses) It is a journey in special adapted vehicles, shared with capacity for about 25 people accompanied by a driver-guide. Nature in Doñana. Almenara Tower Museum Torre Almenara, Sector N s/n 21750- Matalascañas, HUELVA The museum coastal Doñana "Torre Almenara," is located on the beach front in Matalascañas. A guided tour (minimum of 20 people) costs only 1.00 € per person, and consists of a journey of about 30 minutes with groups of a maximum of 30 people inside the museum, which is shaped like a lighthouse and a lookout topped widescreen its top about 15 metres high. In its interior there is a presentation on the 60 km of beaches in Doñana. The museum has a botanical walk with Doñana turtles (Tortugas Moras), and where you will know their peculiarities and lifestyles of so curious reptile, which also is in serious danger of extinction. Persons entering the museum can do it individually during the public opening hours by paying same fare per person (children under 10 free). After you have played the 18 holes which make up the round (a wise combination of links-style, American and parkland) you will remember perfectly each and every one of them. The game will keep your interest going all the way round. The wide variety of situations requires every ounce of the players imagination. All of the greens offer several clearly differentiated flag positions, and the tee boxes offer very mobile tee positions. The designer, Fernando Menaya, has achieved a course allows professional players to shine and amateurs of all levels to enjoy themselves immensely. The practice course, with its wide areas for practising the short game, deserves a special mention.
